The variables to be measured is sent to a microprocessor via an r.m.s. value rectifier and amplifier. The measured variable is then evaluated in conjunction with the configurable integration time and its maximum value is saved. Furthermore, the operating status of the device, which can be selected via a plug-in pushbutton, is controlled from the microprocessor. Users can select to display the instantaneous value continuously or the post-integrated maximum value briefly (one-time display), or can set the display to alternate permanently between the instantaneous value and the maximum value. Press the button > 3 seconds to delete the maximum value. A green LED indicates that the instantaneous value is being displayed and a red LED that the maximum value is being displayed. The variable processed in this way is displayed by means of the moving-coil measuring element.
