Power measuring instruments are used to measure active or reactive power on alternating and three-phase currents. Both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal variables can be measured in a frequency range between 40 and 400 Hz. Standard version power measuring instruments display the active power reference (or the inductive reactive power). With an offset zero point, the power can be displayed as an output and a reference value on special version instruments.
